For Rent by Owner in Nags Head, North Carolina

(More pictures below. Click to enlarge)

Uncle Jack's House

Senior citizens especially will appreciate the easy accessibility of this charming three-bedroom, two-bath house in South Nags Head---everything is on one floor and it’s only seven steps up from the ground.  Uncle Jack has been a senior citizen for quite some time now himself and he really appreciates not having to haul his weary bones up to the second or third floor when it’s time for his nap.
Accessibility is not the only virtue of this delightful house, though, as he learned from twenty years of living in it year-round.  He and Mrs. Uncle Jack moved to Baltimore a couple of years ago but it’s now their home away from home. It is not without some trepidation that they offer it for rental part of the year to folks who are necessarily complete strangers. They are hoping that their renters, will recognize when they step inside that this is no ordinary rental property and will treat it as though they are guests in someone’s home---which they really are.
The attached pictures should give a good idea of what the house is like inside.  It’s not a big house but it would be hard to find a more comfortable one.  Uncle Jack loves comfort and he made sure it was all around him whether in the living room, the bedroom, the sun room, the huge screened porch, the dining room, the kitchen or the spacious outdoor deck.
You can’t  see the ocean from his house but you can almost always  hear it because it’s only a three-minute walk away up Whitecap street.  Lucky for him the beach in his neighborhood is wide and inviting, unlike other parts of South Nags Head where erosion has wreaked havoc on many houses and streets.
Truth be told there is no place he would rather live on all the Outer Banks than his part of South Nags Head ---a quiet residential neighborhood that is convenient to just about everything a vacationer could want.  He thinks you will love it no matter how old you are.
